FAQ

Q. How has your experience in many different industries equipped you for next position?

A. It has given me insights on the patterns for success, the key leading and lagging performance indicators, and the characteristic of endurance necessary for market leadership in hyper growth and competitive spaces. Also, as companies often have customers, suppliers and competitors in and from diverse industries, my experiences help solve critical business issues and be leveraged to produce results from one vertical market to another.

Q. How do you turn a challenge into an opportunity?

A. Challenges allow creative and innovative thinking to thrive. There are always root causes which once defined, can be used to empower solution-seeking teams. Focusing on these challenges helps the team to find systemic reforms that lead to potential growth and strength for the organization. Challenges and the changes they require provide an opportunity to notice top talent and give new players the opportunity to step up. Challenges also allow change to happen organically with buy-in from the organization.

Q. How was your international experience shaped your thinking about business?

A. I appreciate the uniqueness in each culture and I understand why and how people process information and access products and services. It also helps me realize the similarities in different markets; whether it is business-to-business or business-to-consumer and that it always starts with person-to-person relationships. Understanding the other person’s perspective and cultural background is important and help to create a relationship that, finally, create more than a business relationship.

Q. What do you think about the “overqualified” candidates?

A. This stereotype represents the inability of the employer to offer the right place to work for these candidates, to keep in the right position and give them a right compensation. I love to work with them and to offer them the right place where they can leverage their knowledge with the company standards for a sustainable increase of the business.

Q. How do you overcome complexity when leading resources that span across multiple continents and business units?

A. Different work cultures and different unit objectives can be challenging. Leaders must take the time to understand the different styles, cultures and objectives – and broadly share them with units facing potential conflicts. This builds a collaborative environment where the most creative ideas as well as cost savings can develop. The outcome is respect for the unique approaches, expertise, and accomplishments of unified company talent and cross-unit partnerships. I have led multiple teams and initiatives that have proven this approach to the key to success.

Q. Why do you choose to start a new faculty degree in law instead of a master degree?

A. If you lock back in my training background you will find that I have certificates in computer programing. That helps me to understand better the management and opened a logical thinking of management process. Also I have a degree in marketing management and experience in sales, including sales trainings, coaches. And a BA in Management. Instead to spend time for a master that finally will double that already I know very well, I decided that is better to complete my education with the most appropriate domain that can complete my knowledge – law.
